Using Lynx’s Offline Functionality
The platform supports limited functionality when offline. When offline, the platform will indicate the offline status in the top left corner of the application.
Once in offline mode, the user will only have access to the Events and Monitoring sections of the application. The platform uses a variety of methods to detect offline status including sending a network health check every 10 seconds. For this reason, there may be a 10 second delay for the application to update the status when coming online or offline.
Please note: Offline functionality will not work when using private or incognito browser windows.
Preparing for offline use
The necessary data must be synced to the device in order for the application to work in offline mode. To sync the necessary data, press the sync button in the top right corner of the application.
Once the data has been synced to the device, the sync icon will change to the color green. This indicates that the application is ready to use in offline mode.
If the data has not been synced, the application will present the following message when trying to create an event or monitoring event:
Syncing Events
To sync events, press the sync button in the top right corner of the application. The button will display a number indicating the number of events that need to be synced.
